| FIXION are a rock band from Montevideo, Uruguay (South America) formed in late 2001 insert in the Gothic Metal style of music. They add sounds of her own inspiration to create a very personal, original and powerful music. After acting in the underground scene access to many huge theatres of Montevideo like “Plaza Mateo” and “Carpa de la Intendencia” (a council stage, one of the best and larges of the city). They also play live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In their live shows performed, besides her own material, versions of Echo and the Bunnymen, Bauhaus, The Doors, Eurhythmics and The Sisters of Mercy. FIXION finished the production of her first long length album called “En la oscuridad” (“Into Darkness” or “In the Dark”) in December 2008. The ALBUM IS OUT NOW AND ON SALE TO EVERY WORLD. In March 2010 FIXION was the opening act for Sirenia (Norway band pioneer of Gothic Metal) at The Roxy Live Bar in Palermo, Buenos Aires. This presentation gathered critical acclaim from both press and public. In April 2010 FIXION's debut album "En la oscuridad" ("In the Darkness") was nominated for "BEST ALBUM OF METAL AND HARD ROCK" at the Graffiti Awards of Uruguay (Premios Graffiti), whose jury is composed of many of the most important local press (radios, newspapers, DJs, television, etc..) and some Argentine media as Rock & Pop and Rolling Stones. In September 2010 FIXION shared the stage with Lacrimosa
(Germany) in Montevideo and The 69 Eyes (Finland) in Buenos Aires as
opening act.
